The year 2026 marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis; on May 25, an international conference titled "The Franciscan Contribution to the Birth of Europe" was held in Rome at the Casanatense Library, made available by the Italian Ministry of Culture. The day brought together representatives of students from participating institutions, academics, and experts who discussed Europe's founding values in relation to the topics discussed. The conference also presented the final results of studies conducted using questionnaires administered to students and teachers at the participating schools.
